The Council is working with County Supervisor Nate Miley’s effort to implement the countywide blueprint for violence prevention.
We serve as a member of the Initiative’s Leadership Group, which is working with other stakeholders to implement the comprehensive, countywide blueprint and infrastructure for addressing all forms of violence within the county. The Blueprint was adopted by the Board of Supervisors in July of 2005.
Data Work Group Membership
The Council is a member of the Data and Evaluation Work Group, convened by the Alameda County Public Health Department, to work on data collection and research related to violence, violence prevention, and Blueprint implementation.
The Work Group aims to establish a coordinated data collection and analysis process, as well as a central repository for violence prevention data and analysis. One of the products of this work is our Violent Crime Fact Sheet available at:
